弁護士（第二東京弁護士会／ニューヨーク州）。裁判官として民事事件を中心に幅広く裁判実務を経験したのち、グローバルに展開する大手建設機械メーカー/国内最大手アパレル小売それぞれの企業内弁護士として、国内外の様々な取引実務やM&A等戦略案件、ガバナンス、サステナビリティ、危機管理案件等に従事。
業種・業態に限定されないビジネスの現場ニーズに即した多様な知見と、裁判実務を踏まえた紛争発生時の見通しに基づき、依頼者にとって最大利益となる実践的なアドバイスを志向する。

Taking advantage of her diversified experience as a civil judge and in-house counsel, Akiko Nakamura focuses her practice on a wide range of litigation, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters. From 2023 to 2025, she served as an in-house counsel at Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., where she was responsible for all legal matters related to the company’s sustainability issues as well as governance of its domestic and foreign subsidiaries. From 2013 to 2023, she served as an in-house counsel at Komatsu Ltd., providing legal services for various matters, particularly in cross-border M&A transactions. From 2010 to 2013, she served as a civil judge, where she handled a variety of dispute proceedings including corporate disputes and commercial non-litigation procedures.
She received her LL.B. from Keio University (2006), her J.D. from Keio University Law School (2008), and her LL.M. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (2018). She is a member of the Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Japan and New York.
